

Lynette Marie Chapa, 80, of Stockton, California, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026.
Born in Stockton on October 23, 1945, to Arthur and Rosemary Robin, Lynette is survived by her husband, Eric; her sons, Craig and Donovan; her daughter-in-law, Gloria; her grandchildren, Kaeleigh and Isabella; and many lifelong friends.
Lynette lived with curiosity, courage, and a deep appreciation for the world around her. From a young age, she became an amateur radio operator, beginning a lifelong pursuit of learning and exploration. She learned to fly small private airplanes, hiked extensively, and developed enduring passions for photography, history and mineralogy. Later in life her adventurous spirit also led her to embrace world travel, scuba diving, kayaking, and cycling.
At home and abroad, Lynette found joy in discovering new places, tending her garden, capturing beauty through photography, and exploring the natural world. Her many interests reflected her sense of wonder, while her warmth and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
In keeping with Lynette’s wishes, her family will honor her memory with a private memorial service. They are grateful for the love, prayers, and support of family and friends during this time.
