Margaret D Meyer

Margaret Doreen Meyer (Meg) nee Cocks, died peacefully in Lodi, CA on August 7, 2022. Margaret is survived by her children, Deborah Morgan of Galt, CA, Margaret L. Meyer, of La Verne, CA and Clifford Meyer (Linda), of Wilton, CA. Her two sisters reside in England, Helen Catchpole (George), Lorna Ross (Don) 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born on June 30, 1932, in London, England to Clifford and Margaret Cocks. She completed her nursing training St Georges Hospital at Hyde Park and Norfolk Norwich Hospital UK. She married Kenneth Meyer who was serving in the US Air Force stationed in the UK. The family moved many times and lived in Morocco, Italy, Missouri and Ohio in the US, then finally to Vandenberg AFB near Lompoc CA, where Ken retired from the military.

Margaret was very involved in her children’s school functions and volunteered with various organizations while in Lompoc. She and Ken eventually moved to La Verne, CA where she remained after Ken’s death in 1993, then recently moved to Brookdale Assisted Living in Lodi, CA. She was able to attend her 90th birthday party with the entire family present this past June.

Margaret was a very kind and generous person and was passionate about helping others less fortunate. The family thanks the Hospice of San Juaquin and the kind and compassionate caregivers and staff at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Lodi, CA.
