Maria Magdalena Ortiz 77, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016 where she now joins her husband Francisco R. Ortiz, she was born on April 12, 1939 in Mexico . Maria came to Stockton, CA where she raised her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially the pink ladies. Maria leaves behind 8 children Sylvia Ortiz, Susie Schmierer, Marta Ortiz, Frank Ortiz, Alfredo Ortiz, Edward Ortiz, Yolanda Aguirre, Alicia Mims, 25 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 brother Leonardo Paez, and numerous nieces and nephews. DeYoung Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Ortiz family. Viewing will be Thursday July 21, 2016 at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St. from 2-6pm followed by a rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday July 22, 2016 at !0am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 203 Washington St, she will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
