Maria Teresa Agatep

Tess is survived by her husband Rodrigo, her two children Rey Anthony and Rozanne Alyssa, granddaughter Alice, many aunties, uncles, brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Rosauro Reyes Pantig, Sr., Alicia Leoncio Villavicencio Pantig, Rafael Jorge "Ojie" Pantig, Rosauro "Ronnie" Pantig Jr., and Edward Pantig. Her eldest brother, Ojie, is survived by his wife, Edna, and their daughter, Roselle.

Tess was born on December 21, 1958 to Rosauro Reyes Pantig, Sr. and Alicia Leoncio Villavicencio Pantig, and grew up in Manila, Philippines. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and University of Santo Tomas in Manila and achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Management in 1980.

In January 1981, she met and fell in love with Rodrigo Uberita Agatep. They were married on March 24, 1982, and together for 39-1/2 long and happy years. Their son, Rey, was born October 31, 1984. Rodrigo migrated to the U.S. in 1987 and Tess and Rey soon joined him in 1988. Their daughter, Rozanne was born on June 4, 1990.

In 1980 she began her career in banking at The Manila Banking Corporation in Makati, Philippines. She continued her career in banking after moving to Stockton, CA, and worked for Bank of America, Great Western Bank, Washington Mutual, and Bank of Stockton.

Tess was known for her dedication and love for her family. She was a generous and thoughtful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and especially loved watching her granddaughter Alice grow for the past 3 years. Tess was a faithful Catholic and devotee of Our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help.

A visitation for Maria Teresa will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr, Stockton, California 95219. A rosary will occur Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM, 7676 Shoreline Dr, Stockton, California 95219. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 6715 Leesburg Place, Stockton, California. A final resting place will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
