Candy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was the heart of her life. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for those she loved. Throughout her life, Candy showed a deep passion for nurturing and caring for others.
Candy retired from JCPenney’s after many years of dedicated service, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched countless lives. Her warm heart and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. In her spare time, Candy found joy and peace in gardening, spending countless hours tending to her flowers and plants. She delighted in the simple beauty of nature and nurtured her garden with love. Candy especially cherished the holiday season. She was known for her infectious joy while watching Hallmark Christmas movies, sharing her excitement and festive spirit with family and friends. A woman with an adventurous heart, Candy loved to travel. She embraced the beauty of new places and experiences, whether exploring with loved ones or enjoying quiet moments of reflection in her favorite spots. She was always eager to discover the world around her.
Candy is survived by her loving children: Michael Benedict Jr., Margaret Rodriguez, and Mark Benedict; her 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Justa Ybarra, as well as 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Candy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed by her kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her enthusiasm and love of life.

A rosary will occur Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, California. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, California.
