

Marina Navarro Ladesma, 90, of Stockton, California went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Marina was born in Manila, Philippines on May 26, 1925. She was the oldest of the seven children of the late Eugenio Sadang Navarro and Victorina Estera Hullana Navarro. Marina was raised and educated in Manila. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and Major in Home Economics at the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. She was also a graduate of Stenography and Typing at Greg Vocational School in Manila. In the states she also took Caregiver and Real Estate courses at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. Marina was married to the late Attourney Sinfronio Pagaran Ladesma for 36 years. They have two successful children, Eileen Navarro Ladesma Oliver of San Jose and Cesar Navarro Ladesma of Stockton. They were also blessed with 7 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three from Eileen: April Allison Oliver, Mari Antoinette Oliver and Derrick Justin Oliver. Four from Cesar: Tricia Cruz Forshey, Jennifer Cruz Ladesma, and the twins, Peter Cruz Ladesma and Simon Cruz Ladesma. Four great grandchildren from Tricia: Josalynn 17, Alyssa 11, Sarah 7, and Sophia 2. Marina left behind three brothers, Dominador Navarro, Ernesto Navarro, and Ely Navarro and sister, Virginia Navarro. She also left behind 5 nephews and 6 nieces. A viewing will be held June 11, 2015 at DeYoung Shorline Chapel 10am-5pm with a Rosary at 5pm. Mass will be held June 12, 2015 at 10am at Church of Presentation followed by burial at Cherokee Memorial.
