Marion "Ron" Hood

Marion Hood known to family and friends as just “Ron” pasted away 2/16/17 peacefully. Ron entered this world in his beloved Columbia, South Carolina until enlisting in the US Army in 1948 where he served in Korea honorably. Returned to the United States and was stationed at Presidio of, San Francisco and adopted California and the City of Stockton as his City and Home for 64 years.

Ron retired from the Central Valley Flooring Covering Union. Ron was active in Stockton’s fledging youth Ice Hockey program during its inception. Ron was an active Amateur Radio Operator for over 40 years in the Stockton Area. He was also an avid guitarist and loved to play classic country music. Most of all he Loved and enjoyed his family and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Robert, younger sister Dorothy, his wife Patricia Hood, his son Ross Hood, and his sister in law Sue Duquette.

Ron was survived by his brother Robert) and two sisters Burtha and Mary, his son Rick Hood and wife Gina Hood, his niece & nephew - Alicia Jones & Todd Duquette, and his grandchildren, Ashley Hood, Andrew Hood , Ariel Hood, Rick Hood Jr., Katelyn Hood, Brooklyn Hood, Nicolle Drew, Connor Drew, Jerry McKinzie.

Frisbie- Warren & Carroll Mortuary is honored to be serving the Hood family. A visitation will be held for Ron on Wed. Feb. 22 form 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. At Frisbie -Warren & Carroll. A graveside service will be held Fri. Feb. 24 at 10:00 am at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.
