Mary Elias

Mary is survived by her children, Clara Johnson (Robert), Peter Paul Elias II, Eva Nonan (Paul), Serafina Contreras (Mateo), and Cynthia Elias. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Elias I.

Mary was born on November 15, 1927 in Boone, Colorado to Refugio Quiñones and Clorinda Vigil. She married Peter Paul Elias I, in 1943. Over 13 years, the couple welcomed five children into their home. Her children remember her as a kind and loving mother who loved her kids unconditionally. Mary was known to have a green thumb; brining to life anything she touched in her garden. She was also known for her cooking; making the best homemade tortillas, refried beans and iced tea.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10 at 11:00 AM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, with a reception to follow at China Palace - 5052 West Ln Ste 4L, Stockton, CA 95210. Deacon Louis Juarez will be officiating Mary's memorial service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.
