Mary was the only daughter of the late Candido and Guilermina Leandro. She was very honored to be of Portuguese heritage and enjoyed attending many functions celebrating her Portuguese identity.
Loving Mother of Charles “Chuck” McMeechan of South Lake Tahoe, CA. and Joyce Robustelli (Michael) of Hollister, CA. She is also survived by her three devoted grandchildren Deborah Barkhorn (Jeffrey) of Santa Barbara, Michael Robustelli II of Ripon and Mark Robustelli (Autumn) of Mokena, IL. In addition, she leaves behind six loving great grandchildren, Cassandra Barkhorn, Michael Robustelli III, Gianna Robustelli, Alec Robustelli, Kamryn Robustelli and McKenna Robustelli as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Kyle McMeechan.
She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing gave her more pleasure than time spent with family. Gardening was a favorite pastime and she truly had a green thumb. Throughout a significant portion of her life she had a circle of friends that identified themselves as the “Sewing Club” in which not a lot of sewing was pursued but significant travel and dining was accomplished. She was also a member of St Bernadette’s Ladies Guild, a group which she valued very highly for their camaraderie and spiritual support.
