

Mary Delores Ornelas, born November 15, 1940, Stockton, CA, died April 16, 2025, Stockton, CA. Mary was 84 and was surrounded by family at the time of her passing. Mary was born and raised in Stockton, CA, graduated from Edison High School in 1958. Mary worked in a civil service job at Sharpe Army Depot for 20+ years before retiring. After retirement she worked at Flashback Photography for another 20 years.
Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Manuel and Florence Dominguez, brothers Ernie, Bernard, Manuel, Jerry, her husband Albert Ornelas, and step-son Angel “Butch” Ornelas. Mary is survived by three daughters from a previous marriage; Cathy (Fred) Oliva, Suzie (Dino) Wilson, and Julie (Bob) Hogue. Six grandchildren, Dino Jr. (Serrena), Vance (Maria), and Jordan Wilson; Jen (Stephen) Elias, Kevin (Carly) Miller, and Bobby Jr (Jessy) Hogue; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her step-children; Albert Jr (Roxanne) Ornelas, Angie Lopez, Sylvia Ornelas, Mona (Robert) Ornelas-Buchwalter, and Mercedes (Greg) Perkins. Thirteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary will also be greatly missed by two sisters; Helen Molina, and Ventura Salgado.
Mary was always willing to help, she was generous, and kind. Her hobbies included cake decorating, and made the cakes for all family weddings and special events. She loved camping, dancing, was an avid reader and she was a lifelong San Francisco 49er fan. If you were a friend of Mary’s, you were a friend for life. She was happiest when surrounded by family. Football Sundays, family breakfasts or weekend BBQ’s, she loved all her babies.
