I remembered 3/19/2005 the first day at MLK. My schedule was from 8-5, but the next day Ms. Lily told me "tomorrow Ms. Patricia, you start from 9-6!" Little did I know what big responsibility I had. From that day on for almost 7 years I closed MLK. I started as a teacher's assistant and with her guidance, I keep moving up and with the motivation that I wanted her job. Ms. Lily molded me, guided me, teached me, and loved that I reached my goal.
I worked for one and a half years as a site supervisor. The goal Ms. Lily always had for me was to work for SUSD . I always kept in touch with her and we shared memories and family events together. Ms. Lily was my ex-site supervisor, friend, and mentor. The last title started from day one and I didn't realize that until a few days ago. In memory of this wonderful lady. I'm proud to say "Ms. Lily, I did it and I did it for you and because of you!" She was my mentor, motivation and my loving friend. I have accomplished the goal she guided me to with patience, advice, and love. " I will always be thankful to you and I will never forget you Ms. Lily!" I will always remember you and love you!

I will miss my friend ,teacher ,and mentor. Miss Lily was a very special lady and I will always have a special part in my heart for her. She was a kindhearted person always looking out for others, she was always smiling and positive, she taught me everything . and I appreciate and love her for all of that. My heart was broken when I found out my Miss Lily had passed away . We have lost a special Angel but God has gained a
"Amazing Angel "!! To the family members Miss Lily was all that you wanted a person to be so be comforted that she did what god had planned her to do. May you be comforted in your time of need.

To all the Torres family,
My heart broke today to hear of our favorite Ms. Lily passing.
She was a caring, loving person who cared about the children and
her staff at Creative Kids. God is the lucky one because he got a
beautiful angel in heaven with him.
She will greatly be missed by all that knew her.
