My mom once told me she lit candles for people who have passed to light there way home.  I lite this candle for Lil Mom so she can find her way home to her children.  Lil Mom was a very special person who had such an infectious smile that would light up any room. She welcome me and my family into her life and for that we will always be thankful.  Lil Mom will be missed but will always be in our hearts.  We love you!

Lil Mom I light this candle for you, as I know you will forever be the light in my heart. I'm going to miss you so much now that you're gone. I was extremely lucky to have met you and become a part of the family. I remember I was so nervous the first day Danny asked me to meet you, because I knew how much you meant to him. Pulling up to your house, I saw you sitting there polishing your toes; I immediately had the biggest smile. Right away, you welcomed me and wanted to know all about me. I loved that I could sit for hours with you to talk, laugh, and share stories. I'll always miss our lunch dates, when I'd go to your house. No matter how many times I'd tell you I had food or I'd pick something up; you'd always have something cooked. I spent a lot of time learning from your wisdom. I will always admire the woman you were, the example you set, and keep your words close to my heart, which will always mean the world to me. I'd also like to thank you; because of you, I now have an amazing man in my life. I didn't have the honor of knowing you for a long time, like other people did, but I appreciate every second I had to spend with you. You are an inspiration to my life and I will forever keep you in my heart. I love you Lil Mom!

Every since you passed I feel incomplete. A few days before you passed we talked on the phone and you told me how proud you were of me for graduating and I'll never forget that. I'll be out somewhere and think to come visit you only to realize you aren't with us anymore. I stop to think of you and all of the memories we've shared. Your home was always another home for me as well as most of the family. I remember you always made sure we had something to eat. I would wake up and you would ask me if I wanted chilaquiles, papas con chile, or your famous rice and chicken lol. I wish I would of called or came to visit more to have more time and memories with you. My siblings and I are truly blessed to have had our great great grandma in our lives and everything you did for me(us). You will always be my Lil Mom. ❤

I miss you every day, but I know you're with your girls and that you are at peace. I will forever hold you near and dear in my heart. Until we meet again. Love you grandma always.

It's still surreal that you are no longer here with us.  I just can't believe it. I wake up every day hoping it's all a bad dream.  I didn't get to say goodbye to you like I would like to have, but I did get a hug and kiss from you a week before you left us telling me that you'd see me later. What you said is true. We will see each other again. Just not right now. I wish everyone could have experienced my childhood with you at the helm.  You opened up your home to me, and you and Nina raised me as if I was your own.  Even after I moved out you still let me come back and do it all again but this time with 3 kids. I want to thank you for all that you did for me. You were a big part in making me what I am today. You always stood behind me, no matter what was going on. You always made everything better, even in the worst situation. We were all lucky to have you in our lives. You're going to be dearly missed and I know you'll always be watching over us, it's just not the same without you here. You're forever in my heart Lil Mom.

Little Mom, it's been a couple weeks since we received the phone call the morning of May 21st. And it still hasn't set in that you're gone. A lot of the time I find myself wondering how you're doing, only to remember that you're gone. It's hard to dwell on all the things I'll never be able to do again, like tell you about my schooling or listen to you talk about how your figs are doing. I wish I wasn't working the night before you past so I could have been there to tell you a proper goodbye. I miss and love you so much.

I am lighting this candle for my little grandma. She was such a role model to me.She taught me how to live life to the fullest, and for that I am very thankful.She taught me that spending time with family is the most important. I could always count on her to be at every family celebration, looking around,as she joyfully watched all of her beautiful  grandkids running around her and enjoying each others company. I always reminded her that all of this, all of these lives and laughs and happy family moments were possible because of her, and she always laughed and I could tell she was very proud. She showed me how to express love to the people we love. She always made sure to be there for any and every special moment, like birthday celebrations to holidays. She was there through everything, which is how I stay comforted in knowing she was someone I could always count on to be present in every meaningful moment.She was my role model in the way she made others feel, like she was their number one fan. Little grandma always reminded me of how proud she was,and how she admired my free spirit. I am so thankful I could make her proud, because she was the one who inspired me to be something to be proud of. Very few are lucky enough to have a relationship with their great grandma, which is why I will always reminisce and cherish our memories together  forever. To the one who taught me so much, I'll always look back at our times together knowing they were filled with love and comfort. Little grandma will always be close to my heart and I am forever greatful for her being a big part of my life.

Little grandma, you were such a beautiful soul. Your bright personality always brightened a room with positivity. Not a lot of people get to meet their great grandmother, but I have the privilege to say I have. To have such a strong women to look up to. 
     Today is a day to be glad we knew you, to remember your memories and cherish them forever. The sweet phone calls we'd get from you, asking how everyone was, how one time my fish gave birth and you were one of the first people I wanted to call to tell the news to. The cute birthday cards we received from you with rememberable birthday messages in it. We get to look back at the photos and moments we shared with you. I'll always remember the funny picture we took at the beginning of this year when we did the  face swap and you said, "o my god what happened to my face!" I'll always remember those moments, only to have celebrated them with you makes them even more special. 
  Just like Ed Sheeran said "we save this love in a photograph.", his words will always be true. To know for the first 13 years of my life, I had such a beautiful woman to be inspired by, I'll always have your beautiful soul in my memory. When I do great things in life, like when I become president of the United States, I know you'll be looking down, very proud that you'll live your legacy through all of your generations and generations to come. That bright smile of yours will always be shining through the clouds. You'll always be with us, in our hearts, in our mind, and everywhere we look. I love you grandma,not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You'll forever be a gem to this planet, a beautiful mark to this earth.

Nothing feels the same anymore little mom, I miss you so much. I find myself thinking about going to your house to see you, then realizing you're no longer there. It's hard to believe you're not here anymore. It never hit me that you'd actually leave us one day, you were kinda immortal to me. I miss our conversations about my friends from Yuma while you were sitting in your big chair. I'll always remember how happy you were to hear that I was still great friends with them. I'm so grateful that you were able to be apart of my life for as long as you were. Not everyone gets to know their great great grandmother and have her around for at least 14 years of their life. I love you so much, and will always be thinking about you.

Grandma you were there when all my children were born im so happy that my kids new you I will miss you i remember the day you moved into the house on Hampton and Hunter I  used to ride my bike to visit you and Tia  and lita  I remember picking the figs off your tree and pulling weeds from your flower bed and sitting there watching TV cracking nuts walnuts but I would do anything for you grandma I'm going to miss  sitting and talking to you and laughing you taught me a good work ethic and alway had your door open no matter what time it was I'm going to miss your Thanksgiving stuffing and your chicken mole I'm going to miss   your  fruit  salad and your famous green salad everyone loved  I can't believe you are gone you were so alert and your mind was so sharp I know you are with us in my children and in my sisters children I know you are with my Tia and my mom and dad love you alway Frankie

I light this candle for you Grandma, the morning of may 21st has changed our home.  Everytime I come downstairs on the weekends I look for you and say "Wow, how did this happen?" It's so hard to believe you're gone. I know you're with your girls,  you missed them so much. You are dearly missed and I can honestly say its not the same anymore, forever missed...

Lil Mom, you taught me the importance of lighting candles many years ago. From sick babies, job interviews, and anything that needs a prayer. I don't know where to begin. I was 16 when we met... You helped fill a void in my life when I didn't have a mother around. I was so nervous meeting the family of the first love of my life, but you and Christine opened your home up to me right away and made me feel like part of the family long before I became a member. During my teenage years I spent more time with you than any friends that may have wondered in and out of my life. You were there during some of my happiest moments, and also during some of my saddest. From learning to drive and telling me to get over my fear of driving on the freeway (so we could make trips to see Big Mom) to being there when all three of my babies were born. Now I must reminisce alone of memories shared between us, because there were some things only you understood. Your home was everyone's home at some point in our lives, because you welcomed everyone with open arms. I am so grateful to have been welcomed into your family and to have had not only someone I considered family, but my friend for the past 21 years. You will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always in my heart. RIP Lil Mom we love you.

I'm lighting this candle for Grandma as she did for me and so many others. I miss you so much already. I can't believe that we will no longer have our daily morning chat or that you will no longer come over on Friday for the weekend. 
You were an inspiration and role model to me for as long as I can remember. You taught me to be patient, kind, caring and to love. I'm so thankful to have had you in my life and I will keep you in my heart forever.
