Nona Fernandez Dionio

Nona Fernandez Dionio, 96, of Stockton, CA, died Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at O'Connor Woods Retirement Community surrounded by family. She was born on December 8th, 1921 in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines to Felix Fernandez and Faustina Guadiz Fernandez. She was number 4 of 8 children. She graduated at the University of the Philippines and taught at elementary schools in Pasay City, Philippines. Nona joined her husband, Mauro Dionio, Sr. in 1953 in Stockton, CA. While in Stockton, She worked for the U S. Post Office, Sharp Depot, Selective Services, and Internal Revenue Service. Her favorite past time was working in the garden with her husband, Mauro. She was a long time resident of Stockton, CA and an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Mauro Sr., only son, Mauro Jr., and many siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Filomena Fernandez Sobremonte; daughter, Darlene D. Madeja; son in-law Ricardo D. Madeja; daughter in-law, Lisa Dionio; grandchildren, Dennis and Anacleta Torrijos, Krystal Dionio, Richard Madeja and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Monday, January 8th, 2018 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM with Evening service from 5-6 p.m. at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, CA 95209. Funeral: Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at 11:00AM at Trinity Presbyterian Church 1002 W Eighth Str. Stockton, CA 95206 Committal at Park View Cemetery, 3651 French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA 95336.
