Norman J. Desmarais May 30, 1937 - Feb. 16, 2017 Norman J. Desmarais passed away peacefully on Thursday February 16. He was born in Winchendon Mass on May 30, 1937, one of seven brothers. Norman Faithfully served in the United States Air Force for 21 years which included a tour in Vietnam. After retiring from the USAF, he became the Superintendent of the San Joaquin County Motor pool until retiring in 1998. Norman loved hunting and fishing as well as traveling and spending time with the love of his life Carol, for whom he was married to for 57 years. Norman is survived by his three children Debbie Rettenmaier, Becky Baleisis and Tom (Tad) as well as five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Norman was an incredible Father, a loving husband and a true patriot to his country. Visitation for Norman will be at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel 7676 Shoreline Dr. Stockton CA on Thursday February 23, 2017 from 10am – 6pm followed by Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Luke Catholic Church 3847 N. Sutter St. Stockton CA on Friday February 24,2017 at 10am followed by committal with Military Honors at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery 719 E.
