Pauline A. Fields-Mendez

Pauline Alice (Hughes) Fields – Mendez ( 1919 – 2014) went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on March 3, 2014 after being a faithful member of First Baptist Church for over 70 years. She lived in Stockton most of her adult life. She was blessed to be married to Willard R. Fields for 40 years and to Henry F. Mendez for 21 years. Pauline was a loving mother to Baby Fields (deceased), William Van Amber Fields (Lenora), and Pauline Lorraine Johnson (Daniel). She was a proud grandmother to Christine Marie Basiliere (Gene), Willard Russell Fields (Melinda), Aurelio Edward Fields (Vanessa), Teresa Julia Parish (Michael), Franklin Cyrus Fields (Sabrina), James Wesley Fields (Melanie), Daniel Joseph Fields (Tiffany), William Frederick Johnson (Jenny), and Pauline Alicia Klippenstein (Curt).

The list of her great grandchildren is a testimony to the joys of living a long life: Jessica, Kimberly, James, Christopher, Adam, William Van, Mia, Zechariah, Sophia, Ava Marie, Isaiah, Noah, William Henry, Natasha, David, Megan, Elijah, Claire, Rachel, Kaia, Joel, Makaela, William Tyler, Emily, Alexander, Joseph, and Jackson. She held a special place in her heart for those nieces and nephews who were in her life until her passing: Bill, Jerry, Don, Carol Anne, Helen, Jan, and SanDee. Pauline always spoke fondly of Patty, Mike, Steven, and Andy Steward who were part of her family through marriage.

Her arrival in Heaven marked a happy reunion with her mother Alice, her father William, her brothers Clarence, Lillard, Ed, and Fred, and numerous other family members whom she loved dearly.
