Ray Paoletti died peacefully at home on September 13, 2018, in Stockton, California at the age of 97. Ray was born in Stockton, California to Julia Sanguinetti Paoletti and Pasquale (Pete) Paoletti and lived in the Linden area for most of his life. He attended Everett Grammar School and graduated from Linden High School. He farmed in Linden before starting the Paoletti Trucking Company. After retiring from trucking, he was a car broker for several years.
Following retirement, he and Ann enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Canada in their R.V. Dancing was a great part of their lives and they did it every chance that they could. They were members of the Liguri Nel Mondo, the Waterloo Trap & Skeet Club, the Giardinieri Club, the Italian Athletic Club, and the Druids.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann; children, Ron Paoletti (Terry), Laurie Dozier (Lance) and Michael Paoletti; two grandchildren, Nico Paoletti, Katy Rodrigues (Juan); and two great grandchildren, twins - Fia Rodrigues and Gian Rodrigues. Ray was preceded in death by his son, Ray Paoletti Jr., and his sister, Jessie Hickman.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 20th from 2p.m. to 7p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St. Funeral Service and Committal will be held privately.
