My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Richardson.  He was department head of Physics & Mathematics while I was at TSU in the 80s.  Very well respected.  May he rest in peace & power.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ray Sr.  through his son Ray.   His wonderful counsel and willingness to share his experiences and knowledge with us continues to inspire the next generation and future generations on what a wonderful world this could be when we all all of God’s creations to live a live to their full purpose.  We will miss you Ray but you remain with us as we strive to live a life in your example.

To God be all glory, honor, thanks and praise for Dr. Raymond Richardson, Sr. God, occasionally, makes singularly exceptional men. Dr. Raymond Richardson, Sr., is singularly exceptional. He discovered his gifts and talents; his mission and purpose; then devoted his life to fulfilling God's calling;  to set the example; to teach; to minister; sing; be principled; break down walls and barriers; and  build bridges in our minds, spirits and souls, that summon the dreams of our hearts.   These rare giants don't come like grapes in bunches; a man of strong, active faith; teacher; youth advocate; brilliant scholar; committed activist; passionate visionary; indomitable warrior; advisor; friend and brother. For 45 years Dr. Richardson was my surrogate father. He loved us. We love him. He lives in our lives and memories. Everything about God is living. We share God's spirit with our children, as it lived in Dr. Richardson,  as the flight of angels takes him to  his eternal rest in the bosom of Jesus.

Dr. Richardson was one of the greatest influences in my life from an academic perspective.   He took me under his wing at TSU and guided me.   He ensured I always had money to pay for my education.  My condolences to the family.
