Obituary of Remedios Lopez Aquino
Remedios Lopez Aquino “Remy” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 in Stockton, California at the age of 68 years old. Remy is survived by her husband, Well Aquino Sr.; children, Roswell Aquino, Well Aquino Jr., and Regina Aquino; and her grandson Ramiro A. Reyna IV. Remy was born on October 30th, 1954 in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines to Francisco and Esperanza Lopez. Remy grew up in the Philippines with her 7 siblings, Armando, Luzviminda, Nenita, Roberto, Lydia, Merita, and Cecilia. Remy is now reunited with her parents as well as her brother Armando, and sister Nenita. On January 7th, 1980, Remy married her childhood sweetheart Well Aquino Sr. in Dagupan City, Philippines. Remy later arrived to America on March 17th, 1980. Remy and Well had their first child Roswell in December of 1980, followed by another son Well Jr in 1985, and then in 1986 had their daughter Regina. Remy always taught her children about the importance of faith, honesty, and hard work. She always encouraged her children to go after their dreams and pursue their goals yet remain humble. Her children will always remember her as a loving, humble and humorous woman, who’s faith in God is immeasurable. Remy cherished every moment and memory and was always optimistic even when the obstacles were challenging. As Remy and Well began a new life in Stockton, California, Remy began working for California Tri-Valley, California Cushion as a seamstress, followed by Delta Micro Imaging. In 1995, Remy ventured into her dream of becoming an Entrepreneur and opened up her first gift shop with her husband Well Aquino at the Stockton Open Air Mall. Remy loved networking and also explored into net marketing where she was able to enjoy traveling and meeting new people. Throughout all her professions, she met lifelong friends and made exciting memories. Remy was an active and dedicated member of Couples for Christ where she also made joyful memories with friends who later became like family. Remy loved to cook and always enjoyed the company of her friends and family as she loved to have bbqs and family get togethers during the summer and holidays. Remy was a joyful, sweet and humorous woman who had the most compassionate heart. She will be missed and in Our Hearts always and forever.
