

Robert Paul Rivas, a cherished husband, father, and educator passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on June 7, 1949, in Santa Maria, California, to Alberto and Dolores Rivas. Robert was the youngest of eleven siblings, a position that shaped his nurturing and inclusive nature.
He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Rivas, son Ryan Rivas and daughter-in-law Rebecca, who are expecting Robert's first grandchild, daughter Alyssa Rivas, brother Dan Salazar (Joanie), sister Helen Galvan and sister Annie Acuna (Louie).
Following his time in the Army, Robert earned his Masters Degree and spent the following 30 plus years shaping young minds as an Educator. He retired as the Principal of Liberty High School in Lodi, California in 2011. His leadership, compassion, and tireless commitment to his students and colleagues left an indelible mark on the community. Known for his warmth and generosity, Robert was not only a loving father but also a mentor and father figure to many, embracing all with kindness and encouragement.
Robert was a fighter, his life was a testament to resilience and courage, qualities he exhibited until his final moments. His ability to share captivating stories and impart wisdom will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of his company.
In celebration of Robert’s remarkable life, his family invites friends and loved ones to join in honoring his memory and the profound impact he had on those around him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will endure in the lives of his family, friends, and the countless individuals fortunate enough to have known him. A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at the Reserve At Spanos Park at Mt Diablo Room, 6301 W Eight Mile Road, Stockton, CA 95219. A second Celebration of Life will be held for Robert on Sunday, January 19, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at the Guadalupe Veterans Building, 1025 Guadalupe Street, Guadalupe, CA 93434.
