Robert B. Sanguinetti
July 20, 1928 – May 5, 2018
Robert B. Sanguinetti, 89, of Stockton, California passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018. He was happily married to Leneta M. Sanguinetti for 65 years. Bob attended Stockton High School, College of San Mateo, then Stanford University for both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Corporal. Following the U.S. Army, Bob served the Stockton community for over 60 years as a CPA and Senior Partner for the accounting firm Heather, Sanguinetti, Caminata and Sakai, where his partners and clients became lifelong friends. He was also a farmer, raising crops of apples and cherries which he never hesitated to share with friends and family. He valued family and tradition, and cherished moments spent at the Sanguinetti family cabin on Silver Lake. Bob appreciated sports of all kinds, was elected to the Stockton Hall of Fame for his success in basketball at Stockton High, was a member of the Men's Club at Swenson Park Golf Course, and spent many years supporting Sunset Little League and playing fast pitch softball. He was a member of the Italian Athletic Club of Stockton, and never met a biroldi he would not eat. Bob will be remembered by all who knew him as hardworking, honest, genuine, and sincere.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Angelina Sanguinetti, and his brothers James (Hilda) and Eugene (Joyce). Bob is survived by his wife Leneta; children Debbie Tallia (Ron), Dan Sanguinetti (Beth), Bob Sanguinetti (Jamie), and Don Sanguinetti; grandchildren Elizabeth (Matt) and Robert (Kristen), Lauren Henson (Jon) and Kimberly, Michael and Lea, Blaine Vernon (Natalie) and Brandon Vernon (Christiann); and great-grandchildren Presley, Rosey, Barron, Blythe, Harper, Brynn, Alivia, Caden, James, Hailey, Ava, Arsen, and Luciano.
There will be a Rosary on Monday, May 14 at 5pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA 95202. A memorial service will be held on May 15 at 10am, also at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1pm to 4pm at Elkhorn Country Club, 1050 Elkhorn Dr., Stockton, CA 95209.
