

Rosie Fox was born on September 28, 1951 to Maximiano Rodriguez and Vincenta Rodriguez and passed away March 29, 2017. She was raised in Stockton, CA and attended local schools. Rosie is survived by her husband Harvey “Tom” Fox, daughter Gloria Fox, son Thomas Fox, and step-children Ron Fox, Fran Fox. Her life was enriched by her grandchildren Stephen Fox, Anthony Fox, and Rosie R. Fox. She is also survived by her siblings Sally Cobarrubias (Joe), David Rodriguez, and her special siblings throughout her lifetime: Esther Tankersley (Bill), Joe Velasquez (Vivian), Carmen Guerrero (Frank, Sr.), Margaret R. Velasquez, and Mary Velasquez. She is also survived by her extended family, Viola Nessler, Lee Fox (Nina) (Iron River, WI), Edna Bunnell, Barbara Bowers (Virginia City, NV), their families and many much-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She appreciates the friendships she had throughout her lifetime, especially those who remained in her life since childhood.She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Margaret Z. Velasquez, Robert Z. Rodriguez, Sr., Ernesto Rodriguez, Carmen R. Cobarrubias, loving father-in-law Fred Erickson and mother-in-law Betty Bivens-Erickson (Woodburn, OR), loving father-in-law Clarence Lemos and mother-in-law Gladys Greenlee-Lemos (Stockton, CA), beloved sisters-in-law Dorothy Chamberlain, Mildred Johns, and kindhearted brothers-in-law Donald Fox, Ozzie Chamberlain, Fred Bunnell, Earl Bowers, and Mike Nessler; Alejandro Velasquez whom she loved as a father.
Rosie was employed by San Joaquin Delta College for several years and continued her employment at University of the Pacific until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, gardening, watching classic movies, and meditating. Rosie and Tom traveled to many wonderful places, shared many adventures, and built many memories. Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Funeral Home is in charge of all funeral arrangements. Visitation will begin on Wednesday April 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m., both held at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday April 6, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. A procession will follow the service to the burial at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
Rosie would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in her name. She hopes to be embraced by those who made the journey before her.
