Teresita was a cook at farm labor camps alongside her husband who was a farm labor contractor. After his retirement, she ran her own care home for the elderly and also worked as a hairdresser, certified nurse’s assistant, and a care-provider for the elderly.
She enjoyed collecting things and often gave them away without asking for anything in return. She enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends.
On January 7, 2018, she was involved in a serious automobile accident and fractured her spine. Since the accident her health declined until her passing. However, during that time, she had an inner strength that kept her alive. Her interactions with others often ended with her saying, “I love you!” She often prayed during her waking hours with her rosary in one hand. She never complained about her declining health. She will be remembered for her fun and giving spirit and for her love of family. She will be missed.
