Thomas Lee Melden

He was the loving husband to Sandy Melden (nee' Trede) for over 20 years. Tom and Sandy shared many memorable years traveling and spending time with family and friends. Tom was known for his quick wit and ability to tell great stories of past experiences.

Tom graduated from Stagg High School and attended San Joaquin Delta College. Не was the proud owner of Custom Spraying, Inc., a weed and vegetation control company in the San Joaquin Valley for over 40 years. He was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years, having sponsored and helped many others.

His lifetime passions and hobbies included learning to snow ski under the guidance and mentorship of Skip Kinsley, Junior Ski Program teacher. Through skiing, Tom made many treasured lifelong friendships. Other interests included sailing, scuba diving, cycling, love of cars, and riding motorcycles with good friends.

Tom was predeceased by his father, mother and brother, Michael Melden. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, sister Melinda Abplanalp, brother-in-law, Bill, nephews David, William, Kenneth, and great niece Katelyn Abplanalp. Other family members include in-laws, John and Peggy Trede, niece Valarie Walker (Paul), and great nieces Emily and Megan.

A Rosary Service to honor Tom will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 Ν. California Street, Stockton, CA 95202, on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026 at 11:00 am.
