Dear Becky and Family-
I was so sad to hear about the loss of your Mom.  I have so many fond memories of her.  She was always the mom that we all felt like we could talk to about anything.  She has touched the lives of those who were lucky enough to know her in such a special way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Growing up in the country where we lived, Billy and I were playing with a friend and were told by Aunt Estelle that we had a baby sister at home.  We said, "WE DO NOT.  We did not have a baby sister this morning".  We rushed home to find this beautiful little baby girl with blond hair and lovely blue eyes.  If given a choice we would have preferred a baby brother, but this little girl captured our hearts and we accepted her as another "brother".  We played together and grew up together and shared many good times.  We were fortunate that she was a sister as she kept us in line.  She gave us guidance when we needed direction in our lives and admonished us when we needed it but loved us unconditionally.  We always knew Net was there for us.  This continued throughout our lives as adults.  We shared family parties and fun get to gethers.  I will miss my "baby sister/brother".  God Bless Net and my brother, Billy.  May they rest in PEACE! I have fond memories of Lanette when we were in our teens. I recall spending the night with her and her family and feeling so grown up because I was in the "city". I lived in the country.
Time, distance, schedules and responsibilities got in the way after high school. I rarely visited family.
But when I began to plan my retirement, I turned to Lanette for advice about the coast. We had some delightful conversations. 
When my mom was ill, she brought our Aunt Martha to see us.
Time went by but Lanette remained the same. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you go forth.

I attended Murphy H.S. with Lanette and saw her at the reunion weeks ago. I remember a very quiet and sweet girl. And she always had a smile for everyone. God Bless her and her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Lanette was so lucky to have her family with her during her illness. She knew she was Loved. Lanette was a unique person so loved by everybody.

Buddy, Billy and Becky,

My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I have alot of good memories of spending time at your house.  Lanette was like a second mom to me.  Sending love your way.

This world will never be the same without my Aunt Net.  She was a remarkable person.  I can remember "rigging" the christmas name drawing several years so aunt net would draw my name, sorry but she got the greatest gifts.  I still have the pots and pans she bought me before I moved out into my first apartment.  I wrapped christmas gifts for her and Thelma for many years and it was always so much fun and they paid me well.  Like Jenny said, Net's was always where we wanted to be.  We all remember the pantry full of candy bars and other goodies she always had for us.  And then there was Southern Cheerleader Specialties.  I have alot of memories selling uniforms and hanging out in the office.  Then all the Thanksgivings we had at her house.  Alex with his blessings and the pilgrim salt and pepper shakers.  There is not enough space here to tell everything.  I will miss the hell out of her.  She was very much loved and admired.  She has touched so many lives in her time.  What a wonderful spirit.  I know she and uncle Billy were greeted in heaven by Ashley, and mama and papa and all the others already there.  They are in the greatest place not on earth.  Aunt Net and Uncle Billy will be greatly missed.

I remember Lanette when she was a very pretty 16-year-old girl.  That was back in the late 1950's while I was serving with her  brother, Bill, in the Marine Corps. Bill  died the same day as Lanette. May they rest in peace and God bless.

My sympathy is with Lanette in her home going to God Home and she is now at peace with the Lord. My prayers are with her family.
I went to high School at Murphy with her, and I am so thankful to see
her at our 70th birhday get together at Stone Mountain Park in May.
She will be missed by all the classmates from 1958
