Marian V Tallent

Marian V. Tallent age 90 of Lilburn, GA died December 5, 2011. Known as a prayer warrior, encourager and blessed with the gift of giving, The “Card Lady”, Mrs. Tallent would send cards for any occasion and for any reason. She has touched literally thousands of lives through what appears to be a sweet card. PLT members got cards, youth going on missions trips got cards, people in service got cards, if you were sick, you got a card, if you prayed in church, sang in church, looked a little down or even smiled a lot, you got a hand written, prayed over card precisely at the time you needed the encouragement. Mrs. Tallent is a long time active member of Mountain Park First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Tallent and Infant Baby Boy Tallent. She is survived by her daugjhter and son in law, Jerry and John Jenkins of Jasper, GA; son and daughter and law, Michael and Vickie Tallent of Pelham, AL; 3 grandchildren, Tyne Stephens Jenkins, Jennifer Tallent Diebold and Joseph Tallent; 1 great grandson, Conner Diebold; sisters, Kendler Morris of Jacksonville, FL and Nancy Howard Tyler of Forest Park, GA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Park First Baptist Church with Interment in Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 4-6 PM and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Horis A. Ward Stone Mountain Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
