Her siblings were older so being alone she had to make her own amusement. She would play up in the attic of their house pretending to be a teacher. She started playing the organ at a very young age which she always stated was a God given talent. Growing up by the ocean she loved walking on the beach, throwing rocks in the water watching the boats and playing in the water,
When she was older she learned to play the guitar. She and her brother and sisters would play and harmonizing together making beautiful music together, and boy could she yodel!
During the first years of her marriage to Leslie she enjoyed camping, going to Sunday School Picnics, canning, making root beer in the summer, knitting, gardening, having corn and clam bakes. She worked full time for Lunenburg Sea Products. Carl, Sylvia, Wayne and Eugene were born in Nova Scotia. they moved to Prince Rupert and that's where Leslie Junior was born.
Beatrice then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she started a new chapter in her life. She met Lawrence. He was a guitar player and singer. That's when Teresa, Deidre and Larry were born. They lived a humble life together enjoying singing, dancing, reading the Bible together and deep conversations. She did a few different jobs but was mainly a stay at home mom.
Later on with her children being older she started a career as a Cook in the Oil Patch. She made a lot of hungry people happy. Beatrice stayed close to her children and grandchildren as much as she could. Beatrice played the organ whenever she could and would sing her favorite Hymns to the Lord Jesus. She would sing and cry as she was praising the Lord. Beatrice loved every single person in her whole family. She was a true giver whether it was time, money or a meal. Beatrice didn't drive so whenever family would come and visit her she was happy. She never stopped helping. She had the ability to make every single person in her whole family feel like they were her favorite. She had lots of favorites!
She retired in Edmonton, AB where she spent her final years. She loved God, her family and helping right up until the Lord took her Home. She didn't suffer when she went Home to be with Jesus. She just closed her eyes and went into Glory! Now she sings in Heaven!
