I have fond memories of Colleen , she was the life of a family get together , always smiling , joking and laughing .. she could put me into a fit of giggles with her witty sense of humour .Colleen was loved by all and is missed by all who knew her and loved her

I am saddened to hear of Colleen's passing, my condolences to her family. I worked with Colleen in Corrections and she was jovial and kind. The last time we met was for dinner we discussed attending  a Moccasin making class together, which we didn't get around to doing. Rest in peace my friend :)

Jodie and I were best friends in elementary school. I feel like I spent as much time at the MacPherson house as I did my own. Collen had such a bright smile and she treated me like one of her own. I was so sad to read the news, I will hold many fond memories close to my heart. Thank you, Colleen, for being an important part of my childhood. 

Colleen, the world won't be the same without you in it.  I enjoyed working with you at EYOC and looked forward to our outings and catching up after I left.  You will be missed, but glad that you are at rest.  Deepest sympathies go out to your family and to all your many friends.  

Dearest Colleen, so many memories, so many thoughts that run through my mind thinking about you and our times together as family and as friends. Colleen was a lovely woman who I had the pleasure of meeting , working with and getting to know at EYOC. She was so friendly and helpful, always with a smile on her face and never a complaint. She will be missed dearly and I send my deepest condolences to her family & friends.

Colleen and I met at NAIT in 1971.  50 years of friendship.  What a ride .  Over the years as we married and had children we both ended up living on the same block in Spruce Grove.  Another chapter of our lives with coffee parties, babysitting, suppers and our infamous Christmas craft exchange.  Oh so much fun we had with Linda and Marianne trying to come up with unique and off the wall totally impressive ornaments.  Thank you for all your smiles Colleen.    I will dearly miss you my friend,  but I know that you are finally at peace.

My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Colleen's family .I met Colleen when we both were volunteering for United Way, as well as I have known her through work for many years.  She was a lovely lady with a very big smile and although she was suffering,  never a complain.  She was always thankful and pleasant.

We did share a lot of history.  Starting our families in Swan Hills,
then moving to Spruce Grove, potluck suppers.  Christmas ornament exchange (hand made, homemade). Fun lunches, that was changed to suppers.  We just had a bunch of fun times.


Colleen was my boss at Eyoc, she was so sweet to me and taught me a lot. She came to visit me up in the front daily and always was so positive and happy and cheerful no matter what she was going through.  She never complained even when we knew she was in pain. I will miss her. She was a such a gem of a lady. We were supposed to see eachother when the restrictions were lifted and am so sad I will not get that visit with her. She always talked about her kids and Grandkids and just lit right up when doing so. She was such a proud Grandma and Mother.  My condolences go out to her family and dear friends.

I was very shocked to hear of Colleen’s passing , my heart aches for you all .. may you all find love and support from each other during this most difficult time ..
Colleen and I go back a long ways .. in fact I babysit for her and Debbie at a young age .. as a child she was a happy giggly girl , sunny disposition and easy to get along with .. Colleen carried these traits with her into adulthood.. later in life we had a close family connection.. her dad Cliff married my mother .. Mildred Henkel . They had twenty five years together , so we shared a lot of family time . I loved Colleen , she could light up any room she was in , she had the ability to fill the room with laughter putting everyone at ease ..lots of fun times .. Colleen will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her

My husband and I have known Colleen for 47 yrs. We raised our babies in Swan Hills and later in Spruce Grove where our friendship continued.  Throughout the years she has always had her time to share, always a helpful hand and very carrying.  Colleen  was kind hearted, never complained, and always positive. For the last 37 years she instigated  our ladies Christmas craft evenings where we exchanged home made ornaments and shared a meal. A perfect hostess when her turn. 
A great friend is something to be cherished, I miss you but always in my heart. May you be blessed in your next life as I was knowing you. 
My thoughts and prayers are with Jodie, Neil and your children. Love always. 
 

Colleen was always so helpful when I needed any assistance with anything at work, greeting me with a smile and helping in any way she could.

May she rest in peace; my thoughts and prayers for her family and friends.

Some years ago, when one of  our centre Directors retired, Colleen went to work to arrange for a  farewell banquet to include a well thought out program.   She did an amazing job, surprising many of us with her organizational talent and her gift for  public speaking. 

Since Colleen became ill with liver disease, she continued to work hard and persevered quietly through  many personal challenges without complaint. 

In recent weeks, she became noticeably more frail, however she never complained and presented as steadfast and positive.  When I would ask her how she was doing, she would always say "better every day".
Quite a lady, one who I will miss at the work place.

Colleen was always pleasant. She had a wonderful way of leaving you with a smile. May she rest in peace.

It was a shock to us all to hear of Colleen's passing. She was a wonderful and caring lady who always had a smile in her voice. I enjoyed working along with Colleen and will miss her greatly. We had a mutual  joy in gardening which I will always remember as I work in my flower garden.  Rest in Peace Colleen and enjoy the beautiful flower gardens on the other side.

I was so lucky to have worked with your Mom/Grandmother. She was such a wonderful lady. She always looked after everyone in the office - making sure there was always food and ready to plan the  next party event. Such a good friend to have in the office and outside. We would get together for 3 to 4 hours dinner dates.  She was so proud of all of you.

Colleen, I am so happy to have called you my friend.  You started out as a co-worker back in 1998 but our friendship grew.  These past few years getting together for our long suppers always made me happy.  The laughs and good times.  I will forever remember our garage sale excursions or rather our Friday "out of office meetings".  You are going to missed so much by so many.

Although I only met Colleen a few years ago she was an influential person in my life. There are so many qualities I admire in her- her caring nature, how she navigated life so gracefully, her unmatched work ethic and the genuine kindness she extended to all who crossed her path. I remember her love for gardening and the many waving queens displayed in her office. To honour her memory I planted the queens favourite flower- lily of the valley, they symbolize “return of happiness”.  I am grateful to have known Colleen, she will always hold a special place in my heart. Sending my heartfelt condolences to her family during this difficult time.

When a mutual friend called me today with the news I couldn't believe it.  Colleen was a great friend and supporter.  She was always there to help.  I feel for her family as she was too young to go.  But I always say, now she's not in pain and is with her parents again watching down on her family.  She'll always be with them in one way or another. Rest in peace Colleen, you will be missed. xoxo

Sincere Condolences to the family of Colleen. She was the nicest person around. Very personable, friendly, happy, and all around good person you could ever have the chance to meet. I've known her since she worked in HR and attended Peace River on occasion. I have also had numerous meetings/e-mails over the last few years as a Business Manager. She will be dearly missed. I was very saddened to hear of Colleen's passing.  She was a lovely person and I knew her as an HR Consultant and Business Manager.  She will be missed dearly.
