Daniel Thomas Pumphrey

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel Thomas Pumphrey of Stony Plain, AB, our precious son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin and friend at the tender age of 14. Survived by his loving parents Tom & Martha, dear siblings Katey (Jordan), Tommy (Mackenzie), Allyson (Tanner), Gabriel, Haley (Garrett), Rebecca & Samuel, and devoted grandparents Leonard & Kate Howell of Newtown, NL. He is predeceased by adoring grandparents Tom & Mona Pumphrey of St. John’s, NL. Cremation has taken place; no visitation. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 7 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 200 Boundary Road, Spruce Grove, AB. Reception to follow. As Daniel was an avid Oilers, Eskies, Jays and Raptors fan and gifted basketball player, donations can be made in his memory to Canadian Tire Jumpstart (jumpstart.canadiantire.ca) to give all kids a sporting chance to pursue their passions as Daniel did everyday, or to a children’s charity of your choice. The impact left by Daniel will be measured by much more than the 14 precious years we were graced by his presence. His legacy, representative of his generous and kind-hearted nature, will also live on through four families who have been given the gift of a second chance thanks to Daniel's superhero act as an organ donor, and through the selflessness of his loving and compassionate Mom and Dad and siblings.
