David was born on August 24, 1942 in Winnipeg, MB. He served our country as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for nearly 20 years and was posted in various parts of Canada and abroad (Egypt and Germany).
David and Natalie met through friends roller skating in Winnipeg and married on February 17, 1962. Daughters Deena and Angela were both born in Winnipeg and son Douglas was born in Iserlohn, Germany. Commencing retirement from the military and continuing his career in the trades, David and his family enjoyed living on the beautiful coast of British Columbia in the town of Ocean Falls, followed by Faro, Yukon Territory and finally settled in Alberta. David always enjoyed gatherings with his children, grandchildren and lifelong friends. David was also very adventurous and followed his passions; he was an avid dart player and curler, enjoyed golfing, deep sea diving, downhill skiing, riding his motorcycle, roller hockey in his early days and loved to dance. David was also a very dedicated member of The Legion and Masons organizations for many years. Community volunteerism and family was something he felt pride in.
David will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, his amazing sensitivity, his sincere desire to help anyone at any time and his passionate green eyes.
May David be dancing in the sky with all friends and family who passed before him.
A family gathering to celebrate David's life will be had at a later time. In lieu of flowers in remembrance of David, you are encouraged to perform a simple act of kindness.
