It is with great sadness that the family of David Stecyk announce his passing on April 6, 2026, at the age of 76.
A skilled ironworker and welder by trade, he spent much of his life shaping steel into both practical works and beautiful creations. His hands were rarely still, and his passion for building and crafting was evident in every piece he made.
Beyond his craft, he found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He had an immense love of aviation, at one time owning his own plane. He loved the quiet of nature, the fresh air, and the simple pleasure of being outside sitting next to a crackling fire.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Noreen; his children Grant (Carly) and Linnea (Tyler); his grandchildren Dorian, Maleena, Hunter, Sage, Jasper and Rowan; his siblings Brian (Wendy), Laura, Don, Charlie (Chris), Gerry (Reinhardt) and Marilyn as well as numerous nieces nephews and other family and friends.
He will be remembered by the lives he has touched.
We will celebrate Dave with a casual indoor/outdoor gathering at Holborn hall, (51132 range road 13, Parkland County, AB, T7Y 2C6) Saturday April 18th. Please join us at 2pm to celebrate Dave.
