

Debbie Hochachka of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away peacefully, with her husband of 42 years by her side.
Debbie was born on January 1, 1964, in Calgary, Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Rick; her children, Ashley (Bryan) and Dustin; and her cherished grandkids, Maddy and Ayden, who were the absolute joy of her life. Being a wife, mom & grandma were Debbie’s favorite roles, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandkids.
She is also survived by her siblings: Laurie (Tony) Vass, John (Shannon) Allison, and Jim (Laila) Kristiansen; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly. Debbie had many close and dear friends who meant so much to her.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Jenny Allison, and her mother and father in law, Clara and Adam Hochachka.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who was involved in Debbie’s care over the past two years. Your kindness, compassion, and support—especially on the hardest days—meant more than words can express.
Debbie’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2026 at 1:00pm in Spruce Grove at the St Augustine’s Parkland Anglican Church, 131 Church Rd, Spruce Grove, Alberta. For those unable to join in person, the service will be available through livestreaming.
Memorial donations can be made to the Sturgeon Community or the Westview Health Centre Foundations.
