I am very sad to hear of the loss of Don. He had such a vast knowledge of many topics and a willingnes to share his knowlede. I will miss visiting and learning from Don.

Richard, we were sorry to read about Don's passing in the Journal's obituary and offer you and your family our sincere condolences.
We spoke together this past summer about Don's deteriorating health, when I would pass by on the road. You might remember me, Femia, I brought you and Don the occasional pie !
We first met Don and Tina when Don helped us put in the fence posts on our property just up the road. (brick house). We became more acquinted throughout the years. They let me come over and pick apples, if it had been a good year! Me, in turn, would donate them to the church ladies who made many 'fundraiser' pies of them. I would then too give some to Don, as I knew how much he liked his sweets.
