OMG!!  I am enroute back to Canada from Paris at the moment Jan, I soooo wish I could make it to your dad's celebration of his life this morning but it's impossible.  I am so very surprised to hear of his sudden passing and would like to send you and the entire family my heartfelt condolences!  Ever since you and I had reconnected via Facebook it was my intention to find time and make it a priority to go and see him and your mother this year...typical, life is too short and I waited too long and my chance is now gone.  Your dad was so very unique, a very special, intelligent, kind, and fun loving man with a GREAT sense of humour and sense of family where he has passed on a legacy of himself in you and your siblings!  I know how hard it is to loose a parent no matter how old we get so once again please know that I am thinking of you and there rest of the family during this very stressful and sad time.
