THOMPSON, Edward Arthur 1926 – 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Edward Thompson of Stony Plain, Alberta (formerly of Tomahawk) announces his passing on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the age of 93 years.

Ed will be remembered for his love of hunting and the outdoors.

Ed will forever be loved and remembered by his wife and best friend Evelyn; his sons, Michael (Lori) and Phil; his step-children: Gail (Garry), Dave (Judy) and Brian (Ivy); his grandsons: Kyle, Mitchell, Neil and Scott; step-grandchildren: Don, Nick, Kyle, Trevor, Tim, Chris and Catherine; one great-grandchild; 5 step great-grandchildren and by his sister Edith as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ed was predeceased by his first wife Irene.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 5021 – 52 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB.

Evelyn I am so very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. Ed and I spoke often of his days working at the Ford plant in Windsor, Ontario. I miss our visits at tax time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the families.
