I remember Mr. Carter as a fun, kindhearted and generous person and he is in some of my favorite memories. I was his secretary for many years when he was President of NAIT and I want to offer my condolences to the family during this time. So sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing George before I succeeded him as President of NAIT . He was an honest , caring person respected by staff, students , and his colleagues in the Department of Advanced Education . Our Board and Administration were honoured to recognize George for his outstanding contribution to the Institute .

Our heartfelt condolences to Linda, Ken and families.We have many fond memories of George and Margaret from the North Glenora days. We were particularly entertained by George's considerable skill with his various projects. It was alway's fun to speculate what he was crafting. whether it was a boat or a hood for the fireplace at the cottage. Indeed he was a truly special man. It was a privilege to have known both George and Margaret.

I also knew George through Nait; a true gentleman always. He was a leader who allowed his great administrative team to do their jobs and subsequently recognized them for their excellent work! It was a privilege to know him.

To the George Carter Family:  Your father hired me as his secretary in the mid-sixties.  It was a pleasure to work for such a friendly, caring gentleman.  He always had a smile for everyone.

George Carter was president at NAIT while I was a Respiratory Therapy Instructor. He knew hundreds of staff by name & made sure I was acknowledged for writing a lab manual. Later, living nearby: he often used his snowblower to clear major portions of city sidewalk & many driveways. He was a thoughtful, genuine, respected gentleman.

I worked at NAIT when Mr. Carter was the President. He was a prince of a man, admired and respected by all.
