He graduated with a Bachelor of Theology from North American Baptist College in 1972 and went on to run many charitable organizations and fundraising foundations. In the late 1990s, he bought Everglades Special Care Lodge where he realized his life’s passion of advocating and caring for people with mental illness.
He loved the mountains and nature and enjoyed many years of watching farm animals, wildlife and the changing of the seasons on the family farm in McBride, BC.
