Dear Jim, Katriina and Annika,

We are shocked and very saddened to hear of Heli’s passing and we extend our heartfelt condolences on your loss.

As former members of her team at the Alberta Germany office in Munich, we welcomed Heli's leadership, flexibility and her great ability to make everyone feel at ease. As you know, Heli truly embraced her time here, and her dedication to her role as a representative of the province was matched by her exemplary professionalism and warmth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have only just heard the very sad news of Heli's premature passing. Heli was a regular contact of the British Consulate-General in Calgary in our joint efforts to assist companies trade and invest. I found it a joy to engage with Heli's positivity, enthusiasm and can-do approach.
I am so sorry to hear that she will miss her so richly deserved retirement in the Alberta she had come to serve and love.
To Heli's family, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
May Heli rest in peace and rise in glory.
Caroline Saunders, British Consul-General

Dear Family Carswell,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of Heli.
So sorry to hear this very sad news.
My thoughts are with Jim, Katriina and Annika during this time of sorrow.

I had the chance to meet and work with Heli while she was on posting at the Alberta Trade Office in Munich.
It was a pleasure to have her working with us and to chat over many early morning coffees.
Heli was a very kind and dedicated colleague.

May she rest in peace.

Oh Heli, so many memories, anecdotes and laughing together at trade shows, missions and events... You will be missed.

I have worked with Heli for many years. I think that the last time that we saw each other was at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

All I can say is that it was a privilege working with such an exceptional person.

Sincere condolences for your loss,
Max

A very sad day indeed, as one of my most vivid memories of Heli is her joyous and contagious laugh. For many years, we would meet in Duesseldorf at the MEDICA show that we would work on together.
It simply was always more than just work and she will not be forgotten!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family wishing you strength and confidence.

Dear Jim, Kateriina and Annika,

I was so shocked and saddened when I heard of Heli's passing.
My deepest condolences to you and your extended family. I had the pleasure to meet Heli when she started travelling to Germany and have worked directly with her the past four years.

We talked a lot in the weeks leading up to her retirement how this new chapter will allow her to spend more time with you and enjoy more gardening. My thoughts are with you in these difficult times. Svenja
