Mike & I are so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a good guy. A dedicated County employee and a great grader operator. Our condolences go out to you Linda and the Hickman family. He will not be forgotten by us. Take care.

We didn't know him for very long, but feel fortunate to have got a chance to spend time with you both on our Friday night chinese dinners. Jim came into my life through my friendship with my teaching colleague, Linda, a long term connection which has grown and deepened over the years. Jim was a happy, outgoing man with a passion and understanding of complex gadgetry and machines, complemented by a kind and compassionate heart. He so enjoyed the trips to foreign destinations over the past years. I will never forget delightful conversations discussing the highlights of the Panama and Alaska. Jim contributed to the community in every way he could; his heart was in the country. His life was complemented and completed by Linda who supported and supplemented each day with her love and care. 

Goodbye, dear Jim, you gave your best to the world. Rest in peace. You will be sorely missed by all who were touched by your kind heart and warmth. 

My dear friend Linda, my prayers are with you each day as you struggle with this great loss. We have a strong and enduring friendship, and you are very special to me. That will never change!

Our deepest sympathy and prayers to you Linda and your family on your loss.  Margrete and I have reminisced many times of the good times we have had.  I will always remember the fun that Jim, David, Bill and I had as kids growing up on the farms.
