Jason Ramage

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jason Raymond Ramage on June 6, 2024. Jason was always seen as a strong, healthy man who brought energy to a room, but his health sadly failed unexpectedly.

Jason was born to Daryl and Cathy Ramage in Brandon, Manitoba on May 21st,1974. He was a happy baby with a big smile that brought joy to his parents and all his extended family.

The family moved to Treherne and then Somerset where Jason became a big brother to little sister Brianne, and he began school. His mom later moved to Brandon with the children, where Jason attended Riverview and Earl Haig schools, and graduated from Crocus Plains High School in 1994.

Jason began playing hockey at a young age in Somerset and played on teams in Brandon until he was twelve. His love for hockey was lifelong, once visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame on a road trip with Dani (Danielle) and her family, and he collected a number of jerseys and impressive memorabilia over the years.

Jason and Dani started dating in 1990 and directly after high school moved to Alberta together, where Jason worked in various oil field related jobs. Jason started working at WinAlta Transport in 2007 and worked his way up to yard foreman in recent years. Jason and Dani were married in 2002 and soon after bought a home in Spruce Grove. Their first baby, Carson, was born in November 2005 followed by Russell in August 2010 and lastly, their Australian Labradoodle Rosie completed the family in 2017.

Jason loved listening to music, loved to dance and party and have fun with his friends and family. His huge presence is sadly missed in the world of those around him. Jason and Dani enjoyed family life and their shared love of camping, especially at Pembina River and the past five years at their seasonal lake lot at Seba Beach. Carson and Russell were Jason’s pride and joy.

Jason is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 22 years Dani, and their children Carson and Russell. Also left to mourn are Jason’s dad and stepmom, Daryl and Marian Ramage, siblings Brianne O’Halloran (John, children Ellie and Jack), Kiara Ramage (Jordan), and Gavin Ramage (Kendal); Grandma Margaret Grift; Gary and Laura Grift; Jason’s mother-in-law Jackie Aucoin, and Dani’s siblings Andrea, Nici, Jodi and their families; as well as numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

Jason was predeceased by his mom Cathy Ramage, father-in-law Andy Aucoin, grandparents Ray & Gwen Ramage, and Grandpa Bill (Willy) Grift.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday July 26, 2024 at 1PM, at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain. The service will be available VIA livestream for those unable to attend in person. Please follow the link below.
