I was saddened to hear the news of her passing.  She was my teacher many years ago and she holds a special place in my heart for all that she did for me that year.
Thinking of Peter and all who loved her.  I know she touched the lives of many and her memory will continue to be regarded fondly.

As a young boy, I had Mrs.Funk as my teacher. I later came to know her in the commumity and we became good friends. She was always a caring individual and we always got along very well throughout the years. I later moved to Europe, but met up with her in the community upon my many visits home. She was really one of those good people who cared about her students and friends.

I was very saddened to hear about her passing, as I always hoped to have another one of our many "How's it Going?" Chats that we had grown accustomed to over the years. I have lost a part of my childhood education experience & as well just a good old fashioned friend in the midst of people and friends.

All this said, my condolences go out to all of the friends and family that have most definitely lost a great person to have had in their orbit over so many years. 
May you find strength during this time and know that Jean has touched, influenced, and cared about so many. Never forget her and know that the many students she influenced over the years will not forget her either as we will carry her positive influence and friendship with us for life.
