Jean Hazel Marsh

1933 - 2024

Jean Marsh of Spruce Grove, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, at the age of 90 years.

Jean was born at the Onoway Hospital; the first child born to Nels and Kathy Erickson. Jean was raised on the family farm, near Rich Valley, and attended Goldthorpe School until it closed. She then attended Rich Valley School until her graduation.

Jean moved to Edmonton a few years after school and worked at various jobs before meeting, and marrying Jack Marsh, in 1964. They continued to live in Edmonton until Jack’s retirement, at which time they moved to an acreage in Meso subdivision, west of Stony Plain. After Jack passed, Jean moved to a house in Spruce Grove and lived there until she went into a care facility.

Jean loved all animals and had many pets over the years, including a miniature pony and a llama. Jean also loved flowers and grew many beautiful ones during her lifetime.

Jean will forever be remembered by her sister Mabelle (Ron), her brothers George (Debby) and Doug (Carol), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family extends a big thank you to all the staff at Westview Continuing Care Centre.

As per Jean’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Please remember the life of Jean Marsh in your own way.
