Grandpa,

You aro so loved and so dearly missed already, but we know you are at peace now.
Thank you for everything, the life experiences and lessons, and most importantly Thank you for the love you gave.

Dear Hilary (Darryl); Jazmine (Bryan), Jakob, Justin, Jaklyn, and Joshua; Gabriel, Noah, Christian, Zachariah, Serenity, sister Ruth; brother Egon (Linda) and Len’s many extended family and friends.

Jane and I were saddened to learn of Len’s death.  We too experienced Len’s gifts of being a good listener, a gifted pastor, colleague and friend, and were happy to break bread with him at Wendy’s. He often spoke about his love for his family and especially Linda, his love and best friend, whose death (2013) caused him much grief. 

We pray you will find comfort in God’s love and promise to comfort those who mourn, and that you will find peace, each in your own time, in knowing Len is in Good Hands and once again reunited with Linda and Jessica.

I have so many memories of my dear friend Len Stengel. I don’t even know where to start to share what I learned about him over the forty some years of having him in my life.
  He was a very good listener and had, what  I would call, a “pastor’s heart”.   He possessed a genuinely deep abiding faith in God’s grace and His promises.
Len’s wife Linda was the love of his life! When she passed away, Len never fully recovered from the loss.  Many,  many times he spoke of how he longed to be reunited with her and their daughter Jessica.  His wish was now granted. Rest in peace. I will miss you.
 My sincere condolences to Len’s family and his friends.

Dear family and friends of Leonhard, 
I was saddened to read about Leonhard's death as I was hoping to see him again at the home. He had shown me around when I visited at Christmas, pointing out the view to the ravine behind the building and how the sunlight came through the window. He spoke about his family with caring. 
Leonhard was a quiet, gentle soul, exemplifying to me that saying of Jesus: "Blessed are  the meek, for they will inherit the earth." 
May you/we experience Jesus' other promise: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

Dear family of Pastor Stengel,
I was saddened to hear about Pastor Stengel's death.  I have many good memories of him over the years when I was serving as bishop.  May the sure and certain hope of the resurrection through our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen and encourage you in the difficult days ahead.
