June 14, 1939 - February 23, 2023
Lydia Hohol, (nee Reznik), of Spruce Grove, Alberta, has passed away suddenly, but peacefully at the age of 83 years.
Lydia leaves to mourn her loving children: Tina, Terry (Michelle) and Tammie (Todd); Grandchildren: Jarrad (Melina), Austin, Jordan, Brianne, Allyson, Makena and Julia. As well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Lydia was preceded by her loving husband, Ernie, her parents, Phillip and Pauline Reznik, as well as her siblings Helen, Mary, John, Nancy, Vera, Katie and Nina.
Lydia was the light and cornerstone of our family. She was always a free spirit and did things her way. From going to work in Lake Louise, when it was expected of her to stay on the farm and get married. To her love of travelling and exploring Canada. She always told everyone she was a mountain climber in her younger years and would beat COPD. Just like she did with breast cancer and being hospitalized with Covid, twice! One of Lydia’s favorite past times was camping with her family, going to her favorite places, be it to family around Western Canada, or Lake Louise and Fairmont Hot Springs, BC. Her other was gardening with her grandchildren, whether it be flowerpots or a full garden, she enjoyed it all.
Lydia was a social butterfly. She stayed connected with neighbours and many of the young kids and friends she worked with for over 20 years at KFC. Most recently was her coffee crew at Copper Sky. Go in peace, Mom and say hi to Dad.
There will be Celebration of life for Lydia, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alberta Lung Association or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ParklandFuneralServices.com for the Hohol family.
