Melanie Dale Laarhuis

1964 – 2022

It is with great sadness the family of Melanie Laarhuis announces her passing on March 7, 2022 at the age of 57 years. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family and longtime friend.

Melanie is lovingly remembered by her husband Nick, children; Josey, Corrie (Greg) and Keith (Carmen). Also left to carry on her memory are her grandchildren Kixtyn, Kade and Summer, her mother Maxine Murison, brother Robert Murison (Carol) and their children Carl, Tyler and families.

Melanie was predeceased by her father Gordon Murison in 2020.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Melanie at Parkland Funeral Services on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11 am.

Following the Service the family wishes to invite you for a time of fellowship and refreshments at Sorrentino’s in Stony Plain.

A private interment will take place at a later date in Hinton, Alberta.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Stony Plain Health Care Centre for their support over the past few months.
