I met Nick through his dear friend Rosemarie. I only had to meet Nick for a few minutes to know that he would now be my friend. He was a very kind and sometimes humorous man. I am very fortunate to have gotten to know him even if it was for a short time. He will surely be missed.

My papa was a mountain of a man. He had a huge presence, huge heart and always had a huge hug.
I will miss cooking for him, Duncan and I making his favorite pie or rasian cinnamon buns for him. I will miss our visits most.
He was Duncan's best buddy and Duncan was his.
Thank you to all who have sent our family kind words and prayers.
Papa will forever be in our hearts 💕

Uncle Nick was like a second father to me as my dad passed away in 1993. When Aunt Helen and Uncle Nick lived in Manning our cousins Rick and Fred were raised amongst our family between the farm and their place. I always felt loved to be close to them at all times even when they moved to S.G. I will always remember the memories when I lived with them when we worked for Carmacks cons. In Edm. following him every morning to the east end 18 - 19 years old fresh out of school. Loved his jokers comments and his true love of each and everyone that he was associated with ( one I will always remember please pass the pickles when I wanted some and never asked nicely so I never got any) In later our family always stopped in to visit them with our 4 girls and 1 son for a visit or an overnight stay playing pool down stairs. Remember all the meals aunt Helen prepared for us over the years. Then relaxing on the couches with coffee and baking with them. Always felt loved and relaxed when we stopped over with our family. Just so many fond memories of Uncle Nick till the last few months since we saw him as we lived 6 hours North. Always thought the world of them such good hearted people along with Rick and Fre
