Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann; his son, Michael Edmonds; three sisters, Jeannette (Phil) Vatter of Drayton Valley, Georgette (Dan) McKinnon and Paulette Riopel all of Edmonton; two brothers, Dennis Riopel of Calgary and George (Telsa) Riopel of Dapp; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Russell of Pilot Butte, Bonnie (Carl) Ekdahl of Regina, David (Sharyon) Vandermeulen of Calgary, Linda (John) Trafiak of Edmonton, Sharon (Omar) Baron of Airdrie, Neil (Gail) Vandermeulen of Regina, Ronnie (Teresa) Vandermeulen of Grand Prairie and Brenda (Lawrence) Hoffart of Spruce Grove as well as 34 nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his mother, Emma Riopel in 2007; his father, Thomas Riopel in 1997 and his brother-in-law, Gerald Vandermeulen of Taber in 2004.
A number of invited family and friends will celebrate this wonderful man on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, Stony Plain, AB.
