March 2, 2017 to November 15, 2020
Although our time was cut tragically short, we were lucky enough to have Ryley with us for 3 and a half years. He was a very special little human who had a way of connecting all of us and we didn’t even know he was doing it. The impact he had on our entire family and so many others that he touched will stay with us forever.
Ryley was a very special little soul with a smile that would light up a room and fill your heart with joy. Smart as a whip and quick as a cat, when he was around, it was always a good idea to keep one eye on the remote and the other on your phone or you had better get ready to learn a new passcode. He was just starting to take all the silent genius inside his head and put it into words. Waking up to him softly saying “morning dad”, “morning mama” is a sound we will always cherish.
Ryley is survived by his Mother Shannon Dorward, his Father Stuart Heatherington, brothers Alyxander, as well as his twin and wombmate Xxavier Heatherington. Ryley is also survived by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides; plus, Great Grandmothers Vera Shouldice, and Betty Leask. He is now peacefully watching over us all, with his Great Grandfather Kelvin Shouldice and David Heatherington.
Our precious little man loved toy story and although he never said it, we are pretty sure Woody was his hero. He would spend much of his time pretending to be Andy, flying around with Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang. Ryley, we didn’t get enough time with you, but the time we did have meant the world to us. We will be sure to keep a piece of you in our hearts. To infinity and beyond Ryley.. to infinity and beyond.
