Sabina’s life was defined by love — quiet, steady, loyal, and overflowing. Cooking was her love language, and she found joy in preparing meals that were truly made with love. She was happiest surrounded by her family, out for long walks, or enjoying peaceful drives in the country. A gentle woman of deep faith, she lived out grace, forgiveness, and kindness in everything she did. Her family will always remember her joyful laugh and the sound of her humming, softly singing along to worship music as she cooked. She created a home filled with warmth and peace. Everything she did was for her family and those she loved, putting others always before herself, never asking for anything in return.
Sabina Maxine Zefferino passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on November 22 at 8:37 a.m., with her loving husband by her side. Born on January 19, in Placentia Bay, NFLD she faced her battle with cancer with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and a peace that truly surpassed all understanding. She was never fearful, fully trusting in Jesus and in the hope of the cross.
Sabina leaves behind her beloved husband of 38 years, Dino — the love of her life and her best friend, with whom she shared a deep and unbreakable bond since the moment they met in Gagetown, NB. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Selina and her son Diego, and Benny, his wife Kerry, and their children Maya, Amara, Leia, and Roman. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and treasures on this earth.
She is survived by her mother, Viola Hunt; her seven brothers: Doug, Alex, Jr., Todd, Anthony, Danny, Gordie; her sister Katie; many nieces and nephews who she adored; and her in-laws who were truly family. She is predeceased by her father, Mike Hunt; her mother and father-in-law Rosaria and Benito Zefferino, whom she loved dearly; and her nephew Nathan.
Her legacy is one of faith, love, and family — a life lived well and a heart that touched everyone around her. She will be missed more than words can express.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sabina’s life at a memorial service on Thursday November 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at Beach Corner Evangelical Free Church or for those who are far the service will be live streamed at https://tinyurl.com/wfcy3kv5 .
