Born in Sudbury, Ont, Terry and family relocated to Calgary, Ab in 1978. He next moved to Stony Plain Area in 2009 and worked as equipment operator. He was a caring, loving and humble man who would give you the shirt off his back or the food in his hand. Having struggled much of his life with anxiety, depression and substance abuse, he found solace and peace with his dogs which meant the world to him. Terry was treated for pulmonary issues and was released from hospital with oxygen two days prior to passing from cardiac arrest.
Predeceased by his father Victor Clement in 2014, Terry leaves behind his mother and step father Cecile (nee Dupuis) and Bob Kowaliuk, his sister: Christine/Tina (Dwayne) Slepanki; niece Tiffany (Johnny) McDonald, great niece Haven, nephews Brad (Stacey) Rogers, great niece Lilian and great nephew Lukas, Sheldon (Keltyn) Slepanki and Nacho. Also left to grieve, his son, Favian (Jenn) Shimonko , and 2 granddaughters, Harper and Harley. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as an extensive number of friends and acquaintances his life touched over the years.
There will be a private family service at Parkland Funeral Chapel, Stony Plain AB.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made to: Canadian Mental Health, Cancer Society, Hope Mission and/or St Vincent de Paul charities in Edmonton.
