Thomas Elwood Evans
Passed away on November 9, 2020
On November 9, 2020, at the age of 74, Thomas Elwood Evans passed away peacefully in his sleep at home.
Tom was born in 1946 in Edmonton to Selma and Robert Evans. Tom was predeceased by his brother Jim and survived by his brother Randy.
Growing up he lived in Blue Ridge and at the age of five moved to Edson where he resided until completing school.
At the beginning of his career, he worked construction in Alberta, NWT, and the Yukon.
In the early seventies, he started driving for Greyhound Bus Lines, a career that took him all over Canada and one he very much enjoyed.
Tom always said the proudest moment of his life was when his daughter Jennifer was born. He then decided he did not want to be on the road away from his family so the family moved to Hinton.
He lived in Hinton for 24 years and most of them were spent working for Gregg River Resources. He finished his mining career there as a supervisor.
Tom then moved to Stony Plain and worked for Denny Andrews Inc. at a landfill just west of Edmonton until his retirement.
He loved to camp, boat, and fish.
Tom was an amazing dad, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend. When he laughed and smiled, it always came from the heart.
He was so loved by all whose lives he touched.
Tom will be greatly missed by his daughter Jennifer (Ken) Jensen, and his grandsons Anthony and Kenny.

Our deepest sympathies to your family. Brian and Tom did the odd trip to Jasper and on one such trip the boys were having so much fun Brian forgot he was to pick his family up at the bus depot the same night. Needless to say Cheryl and kids had to taxi it home and Tom and Brian were in the bad books. We laugh every time we think of Tom and that night. There were many other more pleasant memories. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. Hold the precious memories close. Brian Cheryl and Family
